Here’s what’s new:
The FieldApp now features a refreshed user interface designed specifically for smartphone and tablet users.
A new bottom navigation bar makes it easier to move between key sections, while a full-screen map experience provides a cleaner and more intuitive workflow. The updated design helps maintenance teams focus on the most relevant inspection data while working on-site.
Finding defects in large solar parks is now easier with the auto-follow mode.
The map automatically follows the user’s location while walking through the site, allowing technicians to quickly understand where they are relative to identified defects. This improved positioning experience helps teams locate anomalies more efficiently and reduces time spent searching for affected panels.
Combined with enhanced map precision, users can navigate between rows and identify nearby defects with greater confidence.
Inspection defects now include additional information to provide better context during field operations. Each defect displays its unique SkyVisor ID, making it easier to identify, communicate, and track issues across teams.
When opening a defect, users can access more detailed information directly from the app, helping maintenance teams verify findings and plan corrective actions more efficiently.
Defect handling has also been improved throughout the FieldApp.
Users can now resolve defects directly from the mobile interface. Once resolved, defects automatically change color on the map, providing an instant visual indication of their status.
Defect lists have been simplified for easier review, while filtering and sorting options help teams quickly find the information they need.
Documenting defects on the field is now faster than ever.
When adding comments, users can launch their smartphone camera directly from the app and automatically attach their photos to inspections. This streamlined process reduces manual steps and improves field reporting quality.
